CARM's old boards are being shut down in a week since their new ones are up. If the old posts won't be transferred, we might be on equal ground; we could get the members to restart here rather than there.

If the old posts won't be transferred, we might be on equal ground; we could get the members to restart here rather than there. Why did they set up new boards? Are the new ones formatted the same way as the old ones, with segregated forums for atheists? Will we be able to read old or existing threads on the old boards? |

So they can more effectively hide how they've been refuted? So they can better play thought police? Yes I'm not sure. The old boards are being shut down within a week; I don't know if that means they will be read-only or if it means that they are being taken down entirely. |

I have heard that it is so they do not need to admit 'jerks' (their own term). Frankly, on those terms, if I was to re-register, I would consider it a slur on my character if they did not consider me a 'jerk'!

Frankly, on those terms, if I was to re-register, I would consider it a slur on my character if they did not consider me a 'jerk'! Oskar Graf was a Bavarian writer in the 1920's. When he heard that the Nazis had not burned his book, he wrote in an open letter: "I ask myself in vain how I have deserved that infamy!" |
