We may want to be more subtle than that as to maximize the time before trolls like 1TD and Metacrock come on over.

We may want to be more subtle than that as to maximize the time before trolls like 1TD and Metacrock come on over. This is the problem with general invites. I have seen it ruin many a Proboard in the past. Should it become a problem there are some remedies. Tea can set it up that only members (not guests) can post or can ban trolls outright. He can also install an ignore feature. (Tea, if you need any help with set-up I can put you in touch with another Proboard admin who is very knowledgeable) |

All they care to do is troll, so there is no use in hearing what they have to say. I think that most of us that are coming here as an alternative are patient but not that patient. |

CARM decided to take action against those they viewed as trolls. If this site wants to provide an open forum that welcomes all opinions, then why start off by taking action against those whose opinions you don't like? Not a good way to encourage posters to register. |

OK, but there should be clear rules in place to identify such unacceptable behavior. And they should be enforced by a committee on which all sides are represented. Strong action should require an unanimous vote. Teabergsalad would be a natural member as owner, and perhaps we can agree on two or three further upright fellows  |
