Thanks to TBS for creating a bolt-hole for when things get hot! I never introduced myself in the other place because, hmm, because... it's a funny thing, I've never been so cautious about giving out personal details as I have been on CARM.

Anyway, I'm a life-long atheist from Cape Town who was pretty much indifferent to the subject of religion until a couple of years ago I woke up to the fact that it really does twist people into knots. I was a physicist and then a software engineer and now an entrepreneur (and was so disappointed when my favorite Bushism made its way onto Snopes!) In the E's I dabble in engineering, electronics and ethics. And I love new ideas; why anyone would want to entrench with an old one is a mystery to me.
