Amsterdam just recently changed their own rules concerning how they spend money to organizations.
They added a rule that organizations, doing business with the city, can not have discriminative rules concerning personnel they hire.
This also (well, specially) includes strict Christian organizations doing welfare subsidized (payed for) by the city.
Good / Bad?

As long as the Christian organizations don't discriminate while hiring, I don't see why not.

As long as the Christian organizations don't discriminate while hiring, I don't see why not. Well, the cause for this rule is that they do exactly that. Marco

Pretty good idea, methinks. I'm Dutch, and I'm quite glad to see that religion is taking the deserved backseat, so that the grownups can run the country.

This also (well, specially) includes strict Christian organizations doing welfare subsidized (payed for) by the city. Good / Bad? It's good. A secular government has to uphold constitutional guarantees not to discriminate against any minority. Freedom of choice does allow private discrimination (e.g. I can choose who to allow into my home), but public funds cannot be used to endorse such discrimination in any way.
