Exalt/Smite can be disabled. Can you tell me how to disable Karma? You can't. Only the admin can (for everyone). |

I dislike "rep". I was on one board in which the juveniles repped each other incessantly. It was a popularity thing and had absolutely nothing to do with quality of posts. Even among adult posters, it seems to me that humorous posts are valued more highly than informative ones. I suppose that could happen, but see this post. Perhaps posts need to have a more multi-dimensional rating system, like "insightful", "troll-dropping", "LOL", "informative". Maybe you don't like to be rated and maybe none of us like the result, but rating is maybe the most effective and fairest way of controlling trolls and rewarding good posters. |
