Who are your favourite YouTubers? Here's mine: I absolutely love(CARM's own) TheoreticalBullshit aka the actor Scott Clifton. If you like him, there's a user who is equally smart and has a similar style. He is DasMericanAtheist. These guys are really smart and really funny. Those of you familiar with TAG should watch TBS's videos 'Lord Logic', '"Slick" Logic', and 'Tag, Matt: You're it'. Another great user is AZSuperman01 who was a guest on Intelligent Christianity. A couple of great videos by him are 'God hates morals' and 'To All Christians on YouTube'(a video on Pascal's wager).

I love Landover Baptist vids. I didn't know they made vids. A lot of people like Edward Current, but the only one I thought was funny was the Atheist Delusion.

I was going to say "LOL" till I saw the end. Scary stuff. Yup. But one wonders just how much of that was Poe; it may well have been posted on a fundie site but that doesn't mean it was posted by a fundie. That said, I have have had conversations with real people just as extreme as the moron in the benie. Like one intelligent, articulate fellow who thought all non-whites should be rounded up and shot, to "put them out of their misery". Here's my favorite atheist upliftment video:

Have heard Christians make some of those statements, or certainly things similar to them, IRL.
The verse in the Psalms would only refer to hard atheism. And frankly it is a foolish position to take.
The stuff about prisons and divorce, while technically factual, is misleading to say the least.

Have heard Christians make some of those statements, or certainly things similar to them, IRL. The verse in the Psalms would only refer to hard atheism. And frankly it is a foolish position to take. The stuff about prisons and divorce, while technically factual, is misleading to say the least. Strong atheism is a foolish position because it is an assertion unsupported by evidence, I suppose? What does this make thesists? ;D The prisons statistic is interesting, and good data is surprisingly hard to obtain. One problem is the number of confounding factors. I read a book called "Kingdom coming" by Michelle Goldberg in which she mentions the privileged position of religion in prisons; and she remarked that really, there are no advantages in not asserting some religious stance in prison because it gets you various privileges. Secondly, it's not a good idea to be a member of some minority in a prison because you get picked on. And 'Atheist' is not really a good minority to belong to because (so I am told) prisoners can be remarkably superior to those they deem beneath them. So if you are the kind of dude who would end up in prison, you are probably also the kind of dude who will lie about being religious. For all we know 100% of the prison population are atheists and they are all liars. So although the statistic cited in the video are allegedly valid (they were obtained by a Rod Swift from the Federal Bureau of Prisons - link) one has to be cautious about interpreting them. And then there are just plain old difficulties of comparing different data sets that had different questions on them, and conflating 'no religion' with 'atheist'. This article seems to give quite a balanced account, although it was just a school project! It's really time some expert sociologist did a rigorous study on this.

Depends on what they are basing their belief upon. Thanks for the link. I saved it.
