This poll is meant to be a general guide to give people a (rather simplistic) religious breakdown of the site at a glance. If you need help, here are some definitions.

If you put 'other', could you please state what that 'other' is in the thread?

I nearly put 'other' because I identify myself primarily by my species - I'm a human being first and foremost. I'm not too interested in gods, except in the way they affect the behaviour of my conspecifics.

If you put 'other', could you please state what that 'other' is in the thread? I voted Atheist and Other because I definitely lack belief in the Abrahamic gods and other gods like the Greek and Roman gods. But as far a simple creator god or deistic god, I just don't know. That's why the other. Dave

As I am an Ignostic Agnostic Weak Atheist, I voted 'Atheist.' You do realize that ignostic agnosticism is a rather strong theological position to take, don't you? ;D

I'M BATMAN! Come on, how could I resist that? ;D As far as a serious answer, I'm a Christian. Strangely enough, I get on well with people of other faiths-or non-faiths. Over at my internet "home": incrediblehulkdiscussionboard.yuku.com/directoryTwo of my bestest buds are atheists. I've given them a link here, so they may wander over shortly. I'm also good Internet friends with a Muslim fella-I'll have to show him this site as well.

There is a part of me that will always wonder about the what's "out there". But mostly I am simply satisfied with the "in here".

I'm an agnostic atheist. But I don't identify with atheism as a movement. In part because religion doesn't really bash my door in here, in part because I'm probably more willing to consider "things out there" possible than most vocal atheists, in part because I don't grok the way they think sometimes - wouldn't occur to me to use words like "society" or "reason" in defense of anything. Sorta. That made no sense to anyone who can't read my mind. Who of you can read my mind? Speak up now before I come to scratch your eyes out!!*~*~ I also seem to get along better with in-betweeners than with outspoken atheists. In the Soc Eth Pol arena OTOH I'm mostly just another fag-enabling heathen.

I like how you think! Anyway, two of my friends find this Board interesting, so they might just show up here. I've got to PM a couple of others. Oh, I just put up a link on the Hulk forum: incrediblehulkdiscussionboard.yuku.com/directoryso a bunch of my internet friends know about this Forum now. I figure-why send out 20 PMs when I can post a link?

Voted Christian and Deist (though if more than two were allowed I probably would have tacked on more ). Like soms I remain fascinated with the character of Jesus. I was raised in an evangelical, charismatic, fundamentalist-ish environment, and that culture remains a part of me even though I reject much of it. I'm fairly agnostic with regard to the question of gods, but there's a part of me that holds on to [my own reinterpreted universalist emergenty post-everything version of] Christianity as useful and beautiful. Like Anj I think I'm most comfortable with the in-betweeners, but I have a lot more in common with strong atheists than with Real True Christians™. (Also relate to Anj finding Anjself as just another gay Muslim Atheist Communist Socialist America-hating terrorist-supporter in SEPtic land.) Attachments:
