I said atheist/other because I am agnostic in my approach to knowledge, atheist in practical terms and a humanist in my feeling toward other people.
Almost chose atheist/Christian because I recognize the value of my Christian heritage in forming a lot of my ethical/political opinions...

BTW, can the poll be edited to add more choices or correct spelling?
(The religion is "Hindu" - "Hindi" is a language.)

I voted "Other" because I honestly don't know where I fit. I believe in Jesus Christ, and most of the deity-like qualities associated with him, and that he is my personal savior, but I see all the faults and hatred of Christianity all too clearly. Apparently I'm not a "true" Christian, and I most certainly don't think God is as detached as deists believe...maybe I'm...wow, I have no clue.

I suspect there's a lot more of us than the talking heads and the loudmouthed fundies would like to admit.

Seems to me like I'm a Christian that believes in universalism for the most part. But, I'm constantly told those two are not compatible. I say "Screw that, I MADE them compatible!" It's nice to find other Christians who think as I do.

Diversity, darn it! We need more members of different viewpoints! We have nearly twice as many atheists as Christians(and most of them are dirty liberals ) and we don't even have any of most of the other major religions! We also need more people in general. Go unto all the world and bring back some friends. Be fishers of men(and women)* *Yes, I know those are entirely out of context as they are talking about sharing Christianity. But, bringing them here is sharing Christianity, isn't it? It is just also sharing other viewpoints.

Ditto-I invited the whole population of the Discussion Board I frequent most. Haven't seen them post here yet-although I have had expressions of interest.
